Bullhide Brewery Pilesgrove Rears-Up Ahead of 2025 Opening

Bullhide Brewery due to open in Pilesgrove 2025

Construction is moving fast on the all new Bullhide Brewery coming to Pilesgrove, which is being developed as an extension of the existing Cowtown Cowboy Outfitters Western retail store.

Looking at the construction progress and the site plans, the new building appears to be three times the size of the original retail store, with the right side brewery/tasting room component going further back to include a warehouse/storage area.

Bullhide Brewery will be an extension of Cowtown Cowboy Outfitters

Once completed it will be a single cohesive building featuring Cowtown Cowboy Outfitters on the left (with an expanded retail space within the new construction), a center shared main entry area with some of the space possibly leased to a separate restaurant operator, and the large Bullhide Brewery and Tasting Room on the right side.

The existing Outfitters building will get a fully refreshed new front façade to blend in perfectly with the all-new construction.

An overhang roof and patio will be a prominent feature of the new construction, particularly in the rear of the building where the local couple/owners expect to create a beautiful outdoor patio environment… looking back out over the quiet farmland.

With construction moving quickly they expect to open in the first half of 2025… it’s tough to pinpoint more defined opening dates considering the process of finalizing all of the approvals, including the final New Jersey Brewery license.

Incidentally, they are still looking for their Master Brewer! Reach out if you are interested.

Brewery Equipment in storage

Brewery Equipment for Bullhide Brewery is already in storage!

42Freeway first wrote about these plans in December of last year when the lot was first being cleared. Like all big construction projects there was a slightly later start than initially expected, but the General Contractor is really moving fast now that they’ve gotten the full green light.

I was following along with Bullhide Brewery’s progress photos they shared at their Facebook Page over the last few weeks, and I was amazed how fast the construction was progressing… so I knew I had to stop down and see it for myself.

Yesterday I caught up again with Suzanne who with her husband Travis own the existing Cowtown Cowboy Outfitters store… And of course are also the owners of the upcoming Bullhide Brewery.

While I haven’t met Travis yet I can tell you that Suzanne and her Outfitters staff are all wonderful, welcoming people always with big smiles… so I fully expect Bullhide to be a friendly and popular destination for South Jersey and beyond!

They’ll have a good head start as the immediate area is already a destination place for many as on the other side of Route 40 is the iconic Cowtown Rodeo and Farmers Market which regularly attracts thousands of visitors. (Cowtown Rodeo and Cowtown Outfitters have separate ownership)

Travis and Suzanne are true Salem County people… with Travis working for a local utility and Suzanne having a career as a school teacher.

The Outfitters store has been in Suzanne’s family for over 50 years, and the couple’s initial venture into being business owner started when she purchased the store from her parents.

And now they’re making an even more significant investment in the the community that they love, with the impressive expansion and Bullhide Brewery.

In my December article I cover details of the expansion which you can read here, but in summary the largest part of the expansion will be focused on the Bullhide Brewery.

The tasting room is designed to carry the full western theme throughout, creating a space perfect for tasting the delicious and fresh brewed beer… and also being a local meeting place.

The architect site plan shows the bar along the back wall with room for about 20 bar stools.

Within the large open timber frame tasting room space there are a variety of tables showing seating for about 75 people.

I’ll be back again when Bullhide Brewery is closer to opening!
